What is a Traveling Mobile Notary?
A Mobile Notary is a Notary Public agent that travels to the client’s location to perform a notarial act instead of the client coming to them. The fees charged by mobile notaries are usually higher than traditional notaries because of travel expenses like gas, time, parking, tolls, and other travel expenditures. I am a 100% Traveling Mobile Notary. Notaries like myself do not have a storefront or physical location for you to visit. We come to you, making it safer and easier for you and/or your client.
As stated in an article by the National Notary Association: A Notary Public is an official of integrity appointed by state government — typically by the secretary of state — to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents. These official acts are called notarizations, or notarial acts. Notaries are publicly commissioned as “ministerial” officials, meaning that they are expected to follow written rules without the exercise of significant personal discretion, as would otherwise be the case with a “judicial” official.
